Porsche Taycan “Electricity”

From the conception of the sound design we wanted to find a way to represent electricity, lightning and energy in an interesting, fresh and abstracted way. We challenged ourselves to use synthesizers, instruments and modular synths and not rely on tradition arcing electricity, thunder and lightning sounds. You’ll notice that the sound design is often tonal and uses some subtle harmonies, this helped us bring emotion and direction to the soundtrack. We also make use of wide dynamic range to create some beautiful and captivating contrasts. This was in an attempt to give the film something extra, something unexpected and interesting but at the same time felt like it fit the CGI, motion and edit perfectly. It’s a fictitious and abstract world, we wanted the sound to elevate that concept and push the film to another level.
